Card Glance privacy
Applies to the Card Glance Chrome extension and the pages on cardglance.io. Last updated October 26, 2026.
What the extension does
Card Glance shows price information for the tcgplayer.com product page you have open: market price, recent sales, price history, listing counts and the lowest listing. It reads this from the same public price data the TCGplayer page itself loads, in your browser, while the page is in front of you. When you search from the panel, the search runs through a tcgplayer.com tab you have open, against TCGplayer's own catalog, and only when you press Enter. On an eBay search results page it can summarize the results shown on that page. The eBay and PriceCharting buttons are plain links that open those sites' own search pages; nothing is read back from them. Copy image draws the card's prices on a picture inside the panel and puts it on your clipboard; nothing is uploaded. Clear filters removes one TCGplayer cookie, the one that keeps a "filtered to store" setting, so the page reloads unfiltered. It does not sign in to TCGplayer or eBay as you and never reads pages on any other site.
What it stores
On your computer, in Chrome's extension storage: your theme choice, the numbers you set in the panel (buy target, fees, shipping), your license key, your watchlist (the cards you starred, the price when you starred each one, your target prices and the prices from your last Refresh), a random identifier for this computer, and the result of the last key check. The key is kept in Chrome's synced storage so it follows your Chrome profile. Nothing about the cards you look at is stored unless you star one for your watchlist, and that stays in your Chrome profile; it is not sent to us.
What it sends
One thing: a key check to the Buy More Cards server (Google Cloud, us-central1), at most once a day, when you open the panel or a card page. It carries the key, the random computer identifier (so one key can be limited to two computers), a name for the computer (Chrome's own label, such as "Windows Chrome", or one you typed in the panel) and the extension version. The card you are looking at is not part of it. The Manage billing button asks the same server for a link to your Stripe billing page, using the key. The Manage my key page works from a link emailed to the address used at checkout; the link is a random token that expires after 30 minutes and lets that page list, name and remove the computers on the key. There are no analytics, no advertising identifiers and no third-party scripts in the extension.
What Buy More Cards keeps
For each key: the email address used at checkout, the plan, the subscription status that Stripe reports, the computer identifiers registered to the key with the date each was last seen, and the extension version last seen. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe; Buy More Cards never receives card numbers. Stripe's own privacy policy covers the checkout and billing pages. Keys and their records are kept while the subscription exists and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and accounting; write to the address below to have a cancelled key's record removed.
The address used at checkout receives the welcome email with the key, re-sends of the key when requested through the lost-key form, and billing notices from Stripe. It is not added to any marketing list.
Permissions the extension asks for
Access to www.tcgplayer.com and www.ebay.com pages, to read the price data on the page in front of you; "tabs", so the side panel can follow the active tab and open a listing you click; "storage", for the settings and key listed above; "scripting", to load its reader into a tab that was open before the extension was installed; "sidePanel", to show the panel; and "tabGroups", so the Open all button can put the three comparison tabs it opens (eBay sold, eBay listings, PriceCharting) into one tab group named after the card. No page content is read through that permission.
Card pictures
The small card pictures next to search results and on your watchlist load straight from TCGplayer's image server, the same pictures TCGplayer's own pages show. That request comes from your browser to TCGplayer; nothing about it passes through Buy More Cards.
The website
cardglance.io may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It is set to shorten IP addresses, and it is not linked to your key or your email. The lost-key and notify forms send only what you type into them.
